Arpi Karapetyan has worked at Boston Day and Evening Academy for over 5 years. Boston Day and Evening Academy (BDEA) is an alternative, competency-based school for students who have not been successful in traditional schools. At BDEA, Arpi helped design and implement Connects, a data system built on Salesforce that facilitates trauma-informed approaches in schools to support and serve the whole student. Additionally, she has helped refine BDEA's trauma-informed practices and has created systems that support a trauma-informed model. Finally, her data analysis work has helped BDEA assess its practices in order to better support students. Prior to working at BDEA, Arpi taught at the Paraclete Academy, an after-school program in South Boston, and worked as a City Year Corps member in Los Angeles. She holds an Ed.M in Mind, Brain, and Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in Psychology from Grinnell College. She is a Posse Scholar.
