Born and raised in Silicon Valley, my passion is the intersection of technology and social change. There is nothing quite like the social impact of nonprofit or social enterprise using technology to more effectively manage, track, measure and/or achieve their social impact. At Oracle+NetSuite, I focus on delivering on the promise of NetSuite ERP being "built for your industry." My team works to deliver NetSuite technology to nonprofits across the globe, regardless of size or ability to pay. I also work across all our target industries to ensure customers realize exactly the value they need to be leaders in their industry. My career started designing income and employment generation programs in East Africa and post-Soviet Europe. I was the founding director of the Eastmont Computing Center which provided technology access and learning to over 400 community members each week, including one of the first Cisco Networking Academies serving at risk youth. I've helped put together CiviCRM, open source software that runs over 10,000 global NGOs and designed and executed a grant program to give away $350M in computers to schools and community based agencies in the US. One of my favorite accomplishments was the Katrina Peoplefinder Project, helping to coordinate over 2,000 volunteers to build a crowd-sourced web-based index every missing person on the web after hurricane Katrina. I'm always looking to create and execute a big idea that will do a little good for the world.
